JOB DESCRIPTION

This position plays a key role in:

  • Leading Odoo ERP implementation projects
  • Acting as a Functional advisor for clients
  • Supporting pre-sales activities such as requirement analysis, solution design, and demo presentations
    This role requires strong business understanding, client communication skills, and hands-on Odoo functional expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1/ Functional Consultant Lead Responsibilities (Main)

  • Collaborate with BD team to qualify opportunities, assess solution fit, and define project scope through discovery sessions and client engagements.
  • Providing ERP consulting and solution architecture guidance to help customers bridge the gap between their current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) states, while aligning with technical and functional constraints.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality pre-sales materials (including responses to RFPs, questionnaires, SOW documents, & demonstration scripts) tailored to client needs and delivery cost.
  • Lead solution demos and present proposed approaches to clients.
  • Finalize scope, trade-offs, and estimates to ensure delivery feasibility.

2/ Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of handover from pre-sales to implementation, ensuring clear knowledge transfer and client expectation alignment.
  • Manage 1–3 concurrent implementation projects, develop detailed project plans, track timelines, manage resources, and control budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within cost.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (BD, QA,…) and ensure adherence to delivery standards and quality requirements.
  • Monitor team performance, manage KPIs, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Own project P&L, optimize resource utilization, and control project costs.

3/ Add-on Tasks

  • Attend events when needed to engage with partners and clients.

Note: The scope and allocation of work may vary based on actual needs, subject to mutual agreement with the Employee.

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

  • Having an accounting background and a good understanding of accounting processes and procedures in Malaysia
  • 3+ years experience in ERP implementation (Odoo preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Odoo functional modules
  • Experience acting as: Project Manager and/or Functional Consultant and/or Solution Consultant
  • Good understanding of business processes (Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing)
  • Experience working directly with customers
  • Ability to run workshops, demos, and presentations
  • Fluent in English and Chinese speaking
  • Based in Malaysia (local market knowledge is a big plus)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in pre-sales or solution consulting
  • Odoo Certification (Functional/Accounting/Project)
  • Knowledge of Malaysia business practices (SST, local accounting flows)
  • Experience with other ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics)
  • Basic understanding of Odoo technical architecture (helpful, not mandatory)
